Covid-19 Update

Dear Members,

Please be informed that caddies have been banned from the club with immediate effect (5th August 2020) until the surge of the virus in Port Moresby is under control. The committee has made this decision based on expert medical advice that was made available earlier this morning.

To support caddies during this time, a 20 kina surcharge will be added to Saturday comp green fees. Funds from this surcharge will go towards a caddie food bank fund.

Furthermore, additional measures were announced last night that now make it compulsory to order food with any alcoholic drink order. Please note that this requirement is now strictly in effect at the club, and that members will need to provide bar staff with a proof of food purchase before being able to buy an alcoholic drink.

May I remind all members that:

  • All members and guests must undergo temperature checks at the clubhouse entrance.
  • All members and guests must sanitize their hands with sanitizer at the entrance.
  • All members and guests must wear a mask - it can only be removed when eating, drinking or playing golf.
  • The Sports Foundation has limited to amount of people in the clubhouse at any one time to 100 persons. Should numbers begin to reach the limit, some members will be asked to leave to reduce numbers.

Any member not following the measures in place will be dealt with based on the most severe penalties available. As your negligence would be putting others at risk.

Physical distancing measures remain in effect at the club, this includes the limitation of 4 people per table and 1.5 meter distancing between each other at all times.
